But when it comes to academics, sports, and life, there is always a limit to what they are told they can achieve.

To inspire young female athletes to go further than ever before, Nike told the stories of indomitable athletes who defied limits through a nationwide series of social media fuelling stunts.

Nike React launch

Nike Running

The new React running shoe (launched 2018) combined sturdy support with out-of-this-world comfort.

But for a mass audience in China who knew very little about running shoes, and didn’t respond to functional product claims, how to convey the product benefits in a sharable way?

Our solution — orchestrate a global news headline grabbing media stunt in downtown Shanghai, where Chinese KOLs would run on top of the world in the new React shoe. A product story told to millions by amazed consumers.

Back in ‘17, sneaker culture was already becoming established amongst women in the U.S, but in parts of LATAM and APAC, the story was very different.

Societal pressure to dress a certain way made many young women uncomfortable styling sneakers in their everyday looks.

To grow the brand’s sneaker business with women in emerging markets, Nike created a Facebook Messenger “Stylebot” — a world-first chatbot integrating the Google Vision API.

If there is one thing Chinese youth love more than basketball, it is eSports.

To frame the LeBron James “Shut up and Dribble” campaign in a language all youth in China could relate to, we teamed up LeBron with another GOAT from the eSports arena: UZI. Adding fresh energy to the Basketball category, and placing a flag in the eSports industry globally.
